Far Cry 6 is not a Sequel or Prequel. Far Cry 6 is a stand-alone title and is neither a sequel nor prequel of any of the previous Far Cry games. The game will follow its own independent storyline, and you do not need to play any of the previous games to understand the plot of Far Cry 6. If so, launch from there and not via steam or desktop shortcut. And u may need to install it from connect instead of steam. If it isn't in your ubi connect library, maybe try opening and logging in on ubi before launching the game.
